About Women of SexTech

Women of SexTech is a community not-for-profit organization that aims to bring together those who are impacted most by SexTech.

Women of SexTech is a tech-savvy and female-led women’s sexuality movement that has made its home in New York instead of, say, Silicon Valley. Women, many of them under 40, are updating sex toys and related products with their own needs in mind. and  leading the companies that sell them.

MISSION

Women of SexTech aims to validate the critical field of sex technology and champion the contributions of marginalized communities within its architectures.

VISION

Women of SexTech aims to bring together all who are affected by SexTech, within an inclusive, collaborative community space to advance the field.

Women of SexTech Team

1. SX NOIR

X Noir is a self-proclaimed “thot leader” leading the conversation on the intersection of Sex work and SexTech. SX has created a podcast “Thot Leader Pod” in an attempt to hack the conversation on Sex, love, dating and tech. Creating more empathy in digital space is the key to intimacy.. SX is from Missouri, very into Frank Sinatra and adult animation. SX aims to de-stigmatize the conversation regarding Sex in digital space.

2. ALISON

Alison (she/her) is a cybersecurity professional, founder of WITPGH, SEXTECHSPACE, and previous president and co-founder of WOST. She holds a Master’s in Cybersecurity Engineering and Policy Compliance from GWU where her research focused on FOSTA-SESTA. She has presented at the Cybersexurity panel at DEFCON, Google, Linuxfest, and more. She is a recipient of the (ISC)2 Center for Cyber Safety and Education award and BiTCH 50 2019 Science and Technology acknowledgment. Her area of expertise in the field revolves around data privacy with particular concentration in policy, compliance, nonconsensual pornography/revenge porn, sextortion, disinformation, and more.

3. KIANNA CHAUNTIS

Kianna is a web developer, graphic designer, photographer and music producer living in Austin, Texas. She has worked with numerous clients and organizations to help shape the look and visual appeal of their presence in digital spaces. She is also a former burlesque dancer and sex worker, having worked in the nightlife entertainment industry as both a performer and event promoter for over a decade. Currently she runs her freelance business Aethernet Online where she aims to continue helping brands cultivate unique identities on the web.
